AMERICA 250 PATRIOTIC SHOWCASE


In recognition of the America 250 Celebration, the Smith County Fair invites exhibitors to help honor our nation’s heritage by adding a patriotic theme to our livestock shows. Participation is encouraged but optional.


GENERAL GUIDELINES:
• Patriotic themes should reflect American pride, including red, white, and blue; stars and stripes;military, agriculture, or historical themes.
• Animal comfort and safety are the top priority.
• No paint, dye, adhesives, or materials may be applied directly to animals.
• Costumes and decorations must not interfere with animal movement, vision, breathing, or showmanship.
• The show committee reserves the right to remove any decoration or attire deemed unsafe or inappropriate.


Patriotic Cage Decoration Contest
Poultry exhibitors are encouraged to decorate their cages with an America 250 patriotic theme. Decorations must be placed on the outside of the cage and must not interfere with ventilation, feeding, or bird comfort.


Awards will be presented for creativity, originality, and patriotic spirit.

In order to make our fair safe, we hope you will understand that there are some things that we cannot allow the General Public to operate inside the grounds: • NO SKATEBOARDS • NO BICYCLES • NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES OF ANY KIND

 

Any person with a disability will be allowed to use a wheelchair or any single-occupancy electric vehicle that is recognized by a healthcare professional as a mode of transportation for a disabled person. We do ask that these vehicles have a handicap placard visible.
