Inspection starts at 5:00 pm Show starts at 6:00 pm

 

Location: Fairgrounds / Livestock Arena

 

Premiums: 1st place $5.00, 2nd place $3.00, 3rd place $2.00

Best of Class $5.00
Best of Show Overall: $10.00


First place winners in each lot will compete for Best of Class. Best of Class winners will
compete for Best of Show Overall at the end of the show.


Champion in each class will receive a $20 Tractor Supply gift card, and overall Grand
Champion will receive a $25 Tractor Supply gift card, courtesy of Tractor Supply Company in Carthage.

Rules and Regulations:


1. Please call the Extension Office (735-2900) by June 25 to pre-register.


2. All birds must be inspected and free of disease, parasites, etc. and certified Pullorum free prior to being accepted for competition. Free on-site testing will be conducted prior to show.


3. Exhibition cages will be provided.


4. Exhibitor limited to one entry per lot.


5. Though every precaution will be taken, neither the Smith County Fair nor any individual working this event, will be responsible for the injury or loss of any bird.


6. All poultry exhibitors and drivers of vehicles transporting poultry show entries will be admitted free and must travel together.


7. All birds must be removed from the Fair Grounds following the completion of the show.


8. In recognition of the America 250 Celebration, the Smith County Fair invites exhibitors to help honor our nation’s heritage by adding a patriotic theme to select livestock shows. Participation is encouraged but optional.
